visitor visa for parents!! pls help!!

hi everyone
please give me any info you can on this. both of my parents applied for toirist visa's together. my mother just got her passport with visa back but my father never received anything yet. does anybody know why or what the issue is? has this happened to anyone? i thought that since they both applied together the application is processed together. my father has a new passport but my mothers expires in 2 months. could that be the reason my mother got a reply first?

Hi,

Did your parents submit paper applications? Unless both application packages were bagged together, it could be that your parents applications are/were assessed by different Visa Officers.

You can track the status of their applications. Maybe your dad will get his passport a day or so later.

Passport validity has nothing to do with your mum's passport being processed faster/received earlier.

BTW what is the duration of your mum's TRV because her passport will expire in two months?

her visa is only valid until her passport expiry date.
they applied online and submitted paperwork and passports together in the same package by email. which is why i find it weird that she got her visa separate and he still has not receivec his.

This means your mum has until her passport expiry to enter/remain in Canada.... which is two months.

What does the tracking for your dad's application show?

i havent tracked it online as i do not have a tracking # or anything
