Hi All,

Request your help in understanding the process. I would like to invite my parents for a month stay in Canada. I arrived here on Jan-2019 and in Work Permit for 2 years.
Searched in the forum and in most places .. inviting parents were discussed by PR who are eligible to apply Super Visa for their parents.

Need some advise on the procedure to apply temporary or visitor visa for my parents. I've rented my own apartment and can prove enough balance in my bank to support their stay.

Thanks.

Your parents must prove they are genuine short stay visitors with adequate finances to pay for their entire visit (you can provide accommodation) and strong reasons to return to their home country.

You can start here:

I'm on the same boat now - on a work permit valid for 1 year, and was hoping my retired parents can visit for a month.

My question - can I (as a TRV worker) provide an invitation letter too? Or does it have to be from a Canadian citizen / PR?

You status has nothing to do with your parents TRV for Visitor visa. They need to prove their ties to home country and financial details of themselves.

Can I apply my parents visitor visa as my work permit is left less than 6 months(5 months). Is there any negative impact on the file due to my work permit? Please help

Well they are applying not you. They show their own funds, travel history, ties to return and valid reason to travel.
