May 20th, 2015 Sponsorship application - CIC
July 27th, 2015 Sponsorship application - Canadian Embassy in Manila.
ALL required documents sent (medical included), application is "in process"
2 (two) times my wife's visitor visa application was rejected (August and November 2015) for reasons like : no travel history (her first passport was required and it is kept to Canadian Embassy), no prove of money (I have undertaken approval from Quebec from Oct.2015, sent prove of my income with a relatively high salary and she has a job in Philippines), no relationship with me her husband..the last one is at least cynical.. I'm wondering is this immigration officer attitude based on the former conservative government policy only ? We plan to apply one more time in April 2006. I'm wondering if somebody from Immigration Canada take a look to this Forum..is not a question of budget to not allow a wife to visit her husband in Canada .. what else then ? It seems officers from Immigration Canada wants to punish and torture me because I found my love in Philippines.

It has nothing to do with the party in power. Because your wife has applied for PR, CIC knows that she has plans to remain in Canada long term. So they are concerned that is is attempting to use the visitor visa to move permanently to Canada before she is authorized to do so. She is also being punished for the fast that too many people from her country have in the past abused their visitor privileges to Canada.

I honestly don't see the point in applying again. I think it's a waste of money. Unfortunately it's quite typically for visitor visas to be refused for individuals who have Canadian spouses.

No proof of relationship with husband, did you guys send a marriage certificate where it shows both your names?

Applying for a 3rd time will be a bit difficult after having 2 refusals, don't know if it will be wise to try a 3rd time. If anything, you should consider going to visit your wife instead. Also, you applied in May 2015, most Filipino applicants with no red flags are taking about 8 months or so to get their visa, so your wife should be near the end of the application process, in that case, I'd wait another 1-2 months until she gets her visa, because it would be a waste of $ for her to apply and travel to Canada when she's so close to getting her visa. Of course, if you guys are a red flag case, then that's a different story.
