Hello! I know this questions gets asked quite frequently and have come across a few threads but they were old and I wanted to see if things have changed since then

I am getting married in a month in India and was wondering if I can apply for a visitor visa for my fiancé so she can join me here in Canada post marriage.
1. Should I sponsor her and let CIC know that she is my fiancé and that I will support her during her stay here?
2. Or should I apply for a visitor visa post marriage along with a PR application? Does this ever work?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would recommend she apply for a TRV now. The chances of approval will be reduced once you are married and have submitted a PR application.

She should apply for the TRV based on her own funds to have the best chance of being approved and should show very strong ties to her home country (e.g. employment, property, assets).
