visitor visa for my daughter in the philippines

i worked as a nanny, my work permit is a live-in caregiver will expire on november 30, 2010 but i have a canadian citizen common law spouse for 2 years now. my problem is,we are planning to invite my daughter a 12 years old to come here in canada for a visit on april because it is summer there, no school but she will go back to philippines on june 2010.are we allowed to do it? she is our dependant child , we are the one providing everything, she stayed with my mother in the philippines. i am separated to my ex husband for 5 years now. I and my common law spouse own a house , insurances , bank accounts all both in our names. If it is allowed what application form is needed?Am I the applicant ? ,because she is under 18 years old. Where will I send the application form ? in Canada or in the PHilippines? please help us. thank you

are you actually separated or divorced? if you are not divorced, it will be difficult for you to apply for a sponsorship for yourself and your daughter.
you can try to apply for her visitor's visa. but chances are very slim, as in the visa office they have all the reasons to think that she will not return.

hi my divorced is in the first stage now, and we are hoping to be final before june 2010 because our wedding is on june 30 2010. if i will process her visitor permit , form IMM 5257 , am i the applicant because she is only 12 years old or she will be the applicant?

why cannot you just sponsor her for PR? for visitors visa she will have to be a principal applicant. you can be a principal applicant only if you apply together with her.
