Visitor Visa for mother

Hi All,

I am a PR in canada and planning to submit a visitor visa application for my mother online.
Ques 1 : What is difference between Proof of Financial Resource of Supporter and Proof of Means of Financial Support
Ques 2 : She is having a bank account of her own. Can i show that account and what will i say how she got money in that account? (should i add letter from my dad that he has transferred money in her indian bank account?). P.S. She is a house wife.
Ques 3 : She is also having property. How can that help? I mean should I mention that in proof of funds or should i mention it as one of the ties in home land?

Ques 1 : What is difference between Proof of Financial Resource of Supporter and Proof of Means of Financial Support

Depending on the type of visa application, proof of financial resource of supporter would be your financial documents as the Canadian host. For example, your T4/NOA, bank statements, pay slips, etc.

Proof of means of financial support includes document to show how the applicant will support his/herself during the visit. For example, bank statement, cheques, bank drafts, cash, bank term deposits (if available as liquid funds), etc

Your mom must include her 6 months bank statement + a Letter of Financial Support from your dad + 6 months bank statements of your dad (for the account from where the money has been transferred) + your dad's ITRs

Ques 3 : She is also having property. How can that help? I mean should I mention that in proof of funds or should i mention it as one of the ties in home land?

I assume the property is owned solely by your mom i.e. your dad does not own a share in the property.

She must include property ownership documents (translated into English) + latest property tax receipt + valuation (self or by a CA) + excerpts of relevant market realty reports to back the indicative market rates cited for her property.

As the property is not cash/funds for a visit, she cannot include the property value in proof of funds. The property is only a tie/reason for her to return to India

BTW if your mom has rented her property then she can include the rental income in proof of funds

No, it's not required.

Do submit only relevant documents such as copies of your passport + PR card + T4/NOA + your bank statement

You can include a copy of your employment letter + 2-3 recent pay slips + your bank statement, etc
