Hi,

I want to apply for the Visitor Visa to Canada at NYC Canadian Embassy. They require 2 passport size photographs for each member of my family. When I reach out to CVC, Costco, Walgreen, none of them are ready to take pictures for Canadian Visas as they are afraid Canada Visas are so strict on photo specifications and they might reject it. I am confused now on what to do. I stay close to NYC, I can go to the embassy directly as well for submitting my application.

My Questions to the forum is

1. Is it true, Canadian Embassy is very strict in photo specifications?
2. If I choose to send over the application over mail and the photo does not satisfy their needs, will they not refund the $300 processing fees (for my entire family. $75 per person) as well?
3. If we go in person to the Embassy, do they photo at the Embassy? Or is it a mandate we need to carry pictures ourselves?
4. Should I submit the Original I797 or just a copy is enough?
5. If I choose to go in person, should all my dependents also come with me for applying the Visa (My Parents and wife)?

My Parents are here in US now to visit us from India. They shall soon return back to India, so I want to take them ASAP. Any response at the earliest is very much appreciated!!

Thanks
Shree CS
