Hi,
We are soon going to be married in December 2009. I want my finacee to visit me in Canada for shopping, etc before our wedding. How good are chances of her getting visa if we honestly provide:

+ Provide a copy of my tickets - indirectly proving that she will return back to India for our wedding.
+ Proof of our relationship
+ Specify that the purpose of visit is pre-wedding shopping
+ Sepcify that eventually after our wedding, we will apply for the spousal PR sponsorship.

Any other suggestions?

let see what will visa officer says but people who go on visit visa there some of did marriage there and hence never return back may be they can raised a issue of not return back or ties problem.

I believed make your bank statements raised plus canada has no fiancee visa like UK or usa?

remember, the key is proving that SHE will go back - her tickets, her ties to India, her job, her house, etc.
I think it's best to be honest about the purpose of the visit, but the most important thing they look for is that she will go back and not overstay her visa

Yes, prove to them that she will be coming back to her homeland... I'm Canadian and my fiancée just got her MULTIPLE ENTRY VISA... she's Filipina... I had an inch of organized files for them... I've noticed that, when it was returned, they were much more concerned about her employment status and my employment status with the invite letter... NOTARIZE the letter(s)...Get a certificate of employment from her job stating that she will be returning on the said dates...with her position/title and salary... get this notarized as well.. Put the exact addresses of where you will be staying and contact info... Her being your fiancée doesn't mean that much to them... about 30% of your application... the rest is weather she'll be returning back to her country...Write down ties in her country... relatives... memberships (gym...clubs..schools..etc).. These things will help tremendously..

Like yourself... I was very eager to get my fiancée this holiday season and experience a white shopping season.... We have and being a bit more detail oriented probably helped... but these points are what I think helped the most... Good luck...
