Visitor visa for Filipina spouse

Hi, I'm a Canadian, married to a Filipina who I plan to visit me with my 2 mo old son on a tourist/visitor visa while we await the processing of partner visa.

She has ties to her home - a paint/hardware store, some properties(including a commercial lot), as well as a son from a previous relationship whom she shares custody of.

So, is there anyone here with some experience that might say something about her chances of being accepted for a tourist/Visitor Visa?

How much money will she need to show in her account(and I in mine)?

And is there any general advice I might follow, or convey to her, on navigating the application/interview process?

Also, does anyone have an opinion on whether the sponsorship process would count in her favor of being accepted(for a tourist visa), or against it?

Since you are Canadian, your son might not qualify for a tourist/visitor visa. He might need the Canadian passport.

For your wife, show as much funds in her account and assets (home, commercial property, hardware store). You might want to apply through the Visa application centre.
