Hi

I want to invite my maternal uncle for a short visit to see my new born son who gonna be six months now. My concern is that my uncle lives alone as he is divorced and have no kids. But he is government employ in India and have their own house and property. Does it create any hinderance in visa approval as he is divorced and have no kids??

I really appreciate your responses...

Yes it will be a problem since he will have almost no family ties back home. Other factors include his travel history, length of proposed stay, and finances.

He has two widowed sisters and one married brother family back home. Does this will be considered as family ties?

Yes that will, but if he has no travel history or poor finances, that might hurt his chances.

My mother also lived with him back home, but right now she is in Canada on super visa. If I fill his application form what address should I mention of my mother as his sibling in application form. Like it should be mine address(Canadian) or back home address(Indian).

The most important point is that he is in govt job in India. Attach his employment letter and letter showing that he would be sanctioned leave for (?1-2 months) and that he would return to India to join duty on so and so date. Attach his house registration papers. People employed in government service and defense forces are usually granted visa.
