Hi all ,

I got Canadian citizen ship recently , and wanted to apply for visitor visa for my brother and sister in law . My brother works in one of the European country. My sister in law works remotely for India in Europe .
I have few questions which have taken my sleep .
1) should I apply using Gc or new ircc portal .
2) my brother is considered as my extended family , so he is eligible .
I am confused if my sister in law can apply as of now , they both are fully vaccinated .

3) I tried creating a profile online using ircc , it ask if u want to add member , like your spouse or kids .So it means that he can apply for visitor visa and add his family that his wife and my sister in law ??

4) what should my sister in law mention location for work as she work for Indian company remotely from Europe .
Please advice

1.. new IRCC portal (or they can apply). if you're applying on their behalf, make sure to declare that you're applying, and have the Representative form IMM 5476 signed individually from both to submit along with the application.
2.. yes he will select option that he's visiting a sibling who's PR or citizen of Canada, sister-in-law will have to select option 12.. visiting members not listed
3.. yes apply as a group, for husband, spouse, etc
4.. Company address.. whatever it is.. india if its india. it doesn't affect eligibility.. but they need to know just true facts

Thanks for your reply . It clears
My brother would be applying from Europe . It just that I am asking questions. On his behalf .

so we will use new portal . I was just seeing few reviews that new portal is based on artificial intelligence and also only immediate family and extended family can apply ?
One more query ,
1) There is question

How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD)

how should we answer this my brother his wife and two kids they will be here for 2 weeks . Also I would be showing my account
1) for my brother

2) for my sister in laws
3) for my niece

how to answer as kids can’t bring money they are under 11
Please advice

$2000 CAD minimum per person for a 30 days trip. Best to show $5000-7000 for brother and sister in law in each of their accounts, you can combine statements into one pdf file to show your total funds for the trip. so you can put the combined $ amount in the field

Answer same combined for sister in law and show the same combined pdf file with both of their funds together

For kids, put the same amount. but click the checkbox "someone else is paying for you" and in explanation write, child is 11 years old, and accompanied by parents, they will be taking care of their kids and funding.

1) Hi guys what to put in national identity document in new portal ??? Adhaar card ??? . If the applicant is currently not in India and working in some other country .. should we put aadhar card in that case ?? Or the residency card of that country ??

2) if parent is filling application for visitor visa for himself spouse and child , while filling a child application . It asks for are you filling on some one behalf . As child is minor , should parent select yes and say unpaid representative .
In this case do we need to submit IMM 5476 for child , signed by parent ??

1. Scan both and put in one, as nationality is still India and passport is India.

2. Yes - on behalf. Yes - unpaid. Yes - submit form and signed by parent itself since child is a minor.
