Visitor visa Extension

Dear All,
My status are going to expire on 5th May,2020. There is a restriction to travel both in canada and India and also it is not safe to travel due to coronavirus.

Can anybody help me,
I am going to apply for an extension of my status.
How much months of extension i should apply for an extension?
Reason is : because of coronavirus
Some consultants told me to apply for 6month,9 month or 1year.

If I apply for 1 year extension, does it effect a decision of ircc?

Hi Tycoon,

I was wondering if you can give some tips on how you obtained the visitor visa extension due to COVD , I am applying for my mom now , her visa is valid until 2022 but 6 months will be expiring on June 5th so I am applying for visitor record.
What was the reasons you have them in the explanation letter and how soon did you hear back from them?
