visitor visa extension

Hi Guys,

I am trying to extend my mom's visitor visa, but I need some help and advice.

She came here 5months ago, so it is time to apply her extension.
I have a few question for you.

1. I will apply through on line. I know it is not mandatory, but is it helpful if she submit any letter to explain her extension?

2. She bought one way ticket when she came here, so she does not have return ticket for now.
Is it mandatory to submit return flight ticket when she apply her extension??
