visitor visa extension

Hello Seniors,

Our United States born daughter visa expired and we should apply for her extension. We have few questions.

In our case, our daugter is born in US and she is here on visitor visa. We have applied for her PR and it is in process. Now her visitor visa is going to expire; we have only 20 more days left (calender days) for the expiry. Are we still good to apply for the extension or are we supposed to apply for the extension prior to 30 days and so we are in trouble? Please advice.

Another question is "what is UCI number "? which number did you fill in the space provided in the application ? Since we don't have a UCI number issued by the CIC yet, not sure of what to write over there. Hope you also would have not got UCI number for your wife, what did you fill in that column. Please help.

Looks like, only 16+ can apply online for extension. Since our daughter is only 3 years old, we are going to send the application by post and it is going to take another 4 days to reach. Please help us with your suggestion.

1. The 30 days is just a suggestion, by law you only have to apply before the permit expires and the extension request reaches Vegreville before it expires.
2. If your daughter was issued a visitor permit, then the UCI is on the document. xxxx-xxxx it is in the section country of citizenship.
3. Where do see the restriction about 16 or over. You complete it for the child.
