Hi there, Canada Visa. I made a thread a few days ago on this board which gave me plenty of insight. However, today I've been notified that my extension has been refused and I have a fairly urgent question. For a bit of brief background information: I began my visit March 26th and the visa ends on Sept 26th. I am visiting my girlfriend and we wanted to prolong the visit. The extension was refused today, 4 days before I have to leave.
1. Must I leave in 4 days (September 26th) when the visa is meant to end? Or does the 30-day grace period become applicable here, meaning I have to leave by October 22nd?
2. How feasible would it be to begin the "restoration of temporary status"? I am struggling to understand how this is possible without the grace period in effect.
As always, thank you immensely in advance.
