Hi! I just want to ask about visistor visa extension. I applied for a visitor extension before my 6th month expires. Ive waited for more than 3mos and finally i received an approval in the mail for only 1month. I want to extend again for another 3mos as i wanted to experience spring season here in canada. My question is if im allowed to file another visitor extension again for the 2nd time? And im a little bit confused because it says there expiration datexxxx and must leave canada byxxx same date as the expiration.. the "must leave canada by" do i really need to leave canada or as long as my status is mot expired i can still apply for another extension... and if while waiting for the decision on my second visitor extension i will be on implied status?
Thank you...

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,

As your extension is only for one month, your chances of getting another extension are slim. IRCC will see these successive applications for extending your visitor status as wanting to live in Canada, and not for just visiting.

Your reason for wanting to stay longer ("to experience the spring season") is not likely to get an approval.

It would be best if you return to your home country.... live there for some months to re-establish your ties before you return

Cheers

You can apply again, but you also seem to be assuming that it will be 3 months before you receive notification. I suspect that if you applied today, you would receive notification (and like Bryanna has noted, a rejection) before the month of March is up. The assumption seems to be that the processing times are related to the time that IRCC opens the application process. I would think, having been in this game for a while, there are checks IRCC does upon receipt, one of them being a quick review of you via your UCI number. That would show them your current status, and any previous applications, including your 1 month visa extension. Pretty sure a negative decision would be in the mail shortly after receipt of your application.
