Visitor visa, extend stay, question

Hello all,
my mother is in Canada since March on visitor visa. In July she applied online to extend her stay. 5 days ago she received a message to pass a medical exam. We made an appointment for November. And today she received another message saying that her application was approved and she can stay till April 2018. Now the question is whether she still needs medical examination or I can cancel the appointment? I can't find any phone number or email to contact IRCC and ask this question. Please, help!

Had you not done medical examination at the time of submitting application? If they have approved her extension, I would not do medical exam once it has been approved.

Did you apply online and what date? Did they request anything else other than medical. Do they stamp anything on passport for extension?

The extension was granted with the condition that she do the medical; this will be stated on her Visitor Record.

If she fails to do the medical, the extension will be cancelled and she will be told to leave.
