Visitor visa expiring on 15 April 2022

Hi All
My father visitor visa is expiring on 15 April 2022. My question is can he come to Canada on 1 April 2022 and stay for 6 months or does he needs to leave Canada on expiry of tourist visa Which is 15 april 2022.
I am trying to look online but not getting satisfying answers.

1. As long as his TRV is valid, and meets all the Covid restrictions, then yes he can enter Canada prior to the TRV expiry. Whether he is given 6 months on entry, is up to CBSA.

Once he enter in canada if border securty officer donot put any kind of date or stamp . Then he can saty for six months.normaly they donot put stamp or sate like USA. I my self came to canada and my visa will expire tomorow but as i entered in dec 2021 i can stay for six months and my visa can be extend if i need from.inside Canada.but i will leve next month. And i will apply for new visa later from my own country
