Visitor Visa During Covid-19 for support of Pregnant Wife (2021)

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are doing great .

We all know due to covid-19 the visa processes have slowed down . I really appreciate if someone suggest me how I can bring my immediate family members here in Canada for support of my wife (she is on bed rest due her pregnancy complications) . Our status here in Canada is Permanent Resident . We have 3 family members in India .

My younger sister (she is doing permanent IT job and also on work from home)
My Father (Farmer)
My Mother (Farmer)

Please also suggest who have more chances to get visitor visa during this pandemic . I really appreciate your effort .

Currently there is a travel ban and processing has likely been affected. It is usually unlikely for her whole family to be approved. Her parents have a better chance but that will depend on ties to India, savings and previous travel history. They need to do biometrics but that hasn't been possible in India for the past year for visitors. People have had to travel to Nepal or Dubai but assume that is no longer possible. Realistically they won't be able to come to Canada for many months at a minimum. If you don't have any other children your wife can remain on bedrest and you'll need to do the cooking and cleaning once you come home from work or on the weekend.

How old is her sister? If over 22, she is her own application. She must show her own funds, ties etc. Also she is not considered immediate family so she needs written authorization to travel. As said above, if they need biometrics that may be almost impossible to get in the near future.
