Visitor Visa approved- where to send passport[U.S.A or India]

Hi,

I am an Indian citizen and I have applied for visitor visa back in June while I was in U.S.A (F1 visa) and I gave my place of residence as U.S, It is now approved and they are asking me to send my passport but the thing is right now I came to India for vacation(my U.S visa is still valid) and I will be here till December end. Can some one please suggest where should I send the passport, I can send it to U.S by some courier but is it the right way or do I need to send to one of V.A.C's in India.
