Submitted application for visitor visa online yesterday? Do we know how many days it will take to proceed to next step?

Can we walk-in for a Biometrics in NY or is it required to take an appointment? Can I proactively walk in and give the biometrics or do I have to wait till they process and update the file?

Prior appointment is mandatory for Biometric Enrolment at all the Canada Visa Application Centres (CVAC) in United States.

to close this, I tried going to USCIS without appointment and they did not accept. Prior appointment is mandatory to provide the biometrics. But, you are able to request an appointment for biometrics at VAC even before you start the application online. this way, you get an appointment and you don't have to wait for them asking for Biometrics. But you will need their letter to go to that appointment.
