Visitor visa application Withdrawn. IEC to Visitor to IEC

Hey I put in an online application to extend my IEC visa to a visitor visa before activating my next IEC visa.

However now I have just had my visitor visa application withdrawn as they said I have been issued another document up to January 2015 which is my second IEC i believe and not a visitor visa.

What do I do now?

This refers to your application for a visitor record received 04/25/2014. No action is being taken
to process your request for the following reasons:

Our records indicate that you have already been issued a document by the Canada Immigration
Centre at CPC-Vegreville valid to January 12th, 2015.

As you have submitted $100, a refund for $100 has been requested on your behalf. This refund
will be issued in the near future. If you have made your payment online your refund will be
reimbursed directly to your credit card. Please note that if another person has paid the fee on
your behalf, the refund will be issued to that person.

I am from the UK, currently on my first year International experience Canada which expires May 29th 2014. I wanted to switch to visitor before activating my second work visa so that I can seek work then activate my second work visa as close as possible to the start of employment.

I was advised by the cic call centre to apply again online and add a letter of explanation stating that and if that doesn't work they told me to go to the US for a couple of days and then return and get a visitor visa that way.

Hopefully my second attempt at applying online will work.
