Visitor Visa application photograph

I'm from Colombia and have to give biometric information and a photograph. According to CIC I have to go to a VAC center and they will take my fingerprints and photograph for me, but on the online application there is a spot for me to upload a photograph.

Do I actually have to upload a photograph in order to submit the application or should I just ignore that part since VAC will be taking my photograph anyway? Thanks.

Those pictures and biometrics are for different purposes. Both have to be submitted.

Thanks for your answer. I have one of those kiosk photos. Now I just have to go get it scanned.
