Visitor visa application pending with India-Delhi office since August 1

I had submitted visitor visa and it is being processed with India-Delhi office. I had applied through VFS. Now, I have linked it to my CIC account and I see there has been no progress on the application till now. It has been 30 days already.

What shall I do, my issue being I had got ITA on 8th August and I need passport to upload scan of stamp and visa pages for the PR application. Only 38 more days remain to apply.

You can request for your passport to be returned to you. You must state you are NOT cancelling your TRV application and you will return your passport when the visa office requests it.
