Visitor Visa Application and previous 24 years back refusal on misreprenstation

Hi All,

I applied for Canadian immigration back in 1997 and due to deliberate mistake of the person who assisted me and took money from me to fill application process submitted a fraudulent work experience letter to cover the work experience so got refused based on "Misrepresentation" and since then I never applied. I got USA 5 years multiple B1/B2 visa in 2017 and than again got renewed for another 5 years last week.

Now I want to apply for Canadian Visitor visa to visit my brother for 15 days (my annual leaves) so there is this question I have been asked and dont know what should I answer (keeping in mind I want to be totally honest)

Have you ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with or convicted of any criminal offence in any country or territory?
Have you ever been refused a visa or permit, denied entry, or ordered to leave Canada or any other country or territory? (never been to canada or denied any other country)

Please let me know what should be my answer on above two questions. I can provide dates of my canada immigration refusal (based on the refusal letter).

Answer to the first question is no.

Answer to the second question is obviously yes.
