Visitor visa after approved interview

Does any of you asked for a visitor visa after a positive interview to avoid your husband waits in his country for the permanent visa ?

Interview for permanent residence for Canada is scheduled for May 4th, my husband is from Haiti, living in Dominican Republic as permanent resident. We can wait 2 to 3 months after the interview before receiving the passport request, so we think about asking for VV right after the interview, if we have a positive answer.

Is anyone ever made a visitor visa while waiting for the passport request ?

There is absolutely nothing stopping you from applying for a tourist visa. Unfortunately approval rates do tend to be quite low since CIC knows your husband has plans to remain in Canada long term. But again - nothing stopping you from trying.

It will be difficult yes, it will also depend on your partner's travel history, finances, assets, family ties, etc.
