Hi

I am planning to apply for visitor visa for my parents. So if i make an affidavit listing all our properties then should i include a copy of those property documents in their file too or else affidavit would be sufficient.

Because i am planning to apply via online and if we state like we have 3 houses then copy of registrations documents of 3 houses are going to be around 15-20 pages. i cannot scan all those and moreover there will no space to upload.

so affidavit should be fine or not.please let me know

please help me.

Hi,

Your parents can submit paper applications at VFS if you are unable to reduce the file size for online applications.

Affidavits will NOT work.

Or, you can include the Index-II (extract issued by the registrar/sub-registrar - depending on which state your properties are) + Property Tax receipts (translated into English by a certified translator).

If your properties have been purchased some years ago (and the value has appreciated) then you can do a self-valuation/valuation by a CA for the current indicative market value + submit supporting evidence from Times Property/Citibank Realty report to show that the indicative market rate is correct

Cheers
