Hi there!
Need help urgently for an issue that popped up for me and my girlfriend.
As of mid July she applied for an extended visitor stay here in Canada. We arranged the documents and made sure everything on the checklist was ticked off and sent to HQ.
The stay is only until October 31st.
Now... A deeper and further frustrating problem has occurred.
While waiting for the visitor permit extension approval to arrive my girlfriend got an offer from a close friend of my family to work in his newly opened pizza restaurant in Victoria.
Offering to get her a Work Permit, me and my girlfriend are currently at bounds with how this can work.
If we apply for said Permit will she have to travel to Seattle or can she merely send them an email?
If not that, may anyone provide an explanation?

The employer needs to obtain an approved LMO first. Once the LMO has been approved your girlfriend can then apply for a work permit. Obtaining an LMO will take a few months and isn't an easy process. The employer is going to have to prove that no Canadian could be hired for the role. More info here:

Before you worry about the work permit, I would first worry if the employer can even get an approved LMO.
