Visitor Status to Worker status

Hi guys ,

My wife was on visitor visa((V-1 valid till 2020) till now in canada . she applied inland and now got open work permit . Do we have to apply for another TRV Called as workers TRV (on which its specified class W-1 instead of V-1 which is purely a visitor visa ? I think this will help her to travel easily then being on Visitor V1 TRV Visa .

Any suggestions or experiences ?
