Yes - you can apply to extend his status from within Canada. Of course there's no guarantee the extension will be approved.

Generally speaking, if someone has been given a visitor record, it's best to leave on or by the date specified rather than applying for an extension. If your father was given a visitor record, it's likely the extension will be refused and he'll have to leave. It's possible this could make it more complicated for him to visit in the future.

Complicated meaning they will ban him from entry in Canada ??? He really wanted to stay for a until April as it when I’m graduating and my mom will also be here .

Not a ban but possibly refusal of entry in future.

It’s his first time in Canada , he visited the USA a few times , but haven’t travel in about two years . The day of his flight , it was delayed for 5 hours and he was not too clear on how to use the self check out , so they give him a hard time and he was very aggravated by the whole process

Getting aggravated with CBSA is never a good idea. If he was sent to secondary, he has likely been flagged for any future entries.
