Hello! I got a letter of refusal for my visitor record (visitor extension) and they told me I need to leave the country asap, can I go out of the country and re-entry so the date is the actual and I have 6 more months? I just received the letter and I'm looking forward to communicate with someone on the IRCC tomorrow morning but I'm just anxious about this and I don't know what is the next step, someone here had the same issue before? Please I just need some advice. Thank you so much in advance!

Yes, you can leave and re-enter. However you ideally should not try to re-enter Canada immediately but live for a while outside of Canada before visiting again. Remember that if and how long you are allowed back into Canada is always up to CBSA.

Also, don't bother calling IRCC. They do not provide advice on personal situations. If you want advice, you will need to hire a lawyer or consultant.

Assume you have been in the country for about a year so living in Canada as a visitor. Trying to get common law? CBSA can deny entry if you have been in Canada for so long.
