I have a question reguarding a visitor record. I live in Detroit and my wife lives in Windsor, so I've been visiting frequently for the past 4.5 years. We recently submitted my permanent residence application. My question is would a visitor record make my crossing any easier. I currently have a nexus card, so it's really isn't difficult at all now. Keep in mind that I will be crossing back to Detroit for work.

Stick with the nexus... A visitor's record would do nothing for you... it is just a piece of paper that says you have status in Canada to such date as indicated, either you leave by that date or apply for an extension... once you leave Canada the visitor's record is no longer vaild.
