Visitor Record Permit for spouse.

Hi

Need advise with my situation here if anyone can help me out.
I am PR and sponsering my wife for PR outside canada and she is on visit visa right in Canada visiting me at the moment.
I need to extend her health care but she doesnt have any permit other than visit visa on her passport.

I called CIC and they mentioned she can issue visitor record permit but if god forbids if she gets refused she needs to leave canada? Or maybe i am mistaken.

The PR process is still on no updates yet.

But my question is if i apply for visitor record permit through online for here. Will she be getting it.

Or should be apply for her study permit or work permit ?

Any suggestions?? Need help what is the best way to deal with this?

What health care does she have at the moment? Usually you cannot have any kind of health service under visitor status.

In which province do you live? You said you need to extend so it's more than 6 months that she lives in Canada?
You should apply for her extension to have a visitor record

Your spouse must apply to extend her visitor status regardless. If she doesn't, she will be in Canada illegally after her current status expires. A PR app in process does not grant any form of status.

She needs to include proof of finances and proof of the PR app. It should be approved without issue.

She doesn't qualify for a work permit and a study permit requires admission to a school and significant proof of funds.
