Visitor Record has been approved Today!

Hello all,

I have a question with all our experts. My mother visited me in Canada last year on July 2022, she supposed to leave the Canada on December but I extended her stay on November 2022. Today I got the email from CIC that her Visitor record has been approved and they authorized her to stay till 19th April 2023 subject to Medical examination. Her visa stamped 3 years ago till 14th April 2023, I do not understand why CIC did not extend her stay for at least 1 year so I would have received the stamped visa on her passport to ease her travel. Should I do the medical examination now for only 30 days stay or should I send her back without the medical examination.

She is required to do the medical because she enjoyed and extension of her stay already. 1 year extension isn’t guaranteed. There will be no issue with her travelling home without a valid TRV from Canada.

Thanks for your reply, her TRV stamp in passport is expiring on 14th April 2023 her visitor visa record expiry is till 19th April. I am planning to send her before the Trv expiry date.

Please Advice

i applied for my parents and my brothers visitor visa on march 2021, since than their was no update on this application, yesterday suddenly i got a passport request only for my brother, my father is main applicant and they did not received any latter yet. i am confuse with what is happening. please share your experience if you have been through the same situation.

Hi! Did you receive a BVL correspondence letter before the In Canada approval letter as well? My first visitor record was approved last Dec 2022 but it didn’t have any BVL correspondence letter before the decision.

I have a second visitot record application last June 2023. I received a BVL correspondence letter as of today, and a note in my application portal saying they’re still working on it.

And I also have a work permit (paper) application submitted to CPC Edmonton last September 8.
