Hi everyone,
We are planning a road trip through North & Central America from August onwards. For this, we are flying to Vancouver, BC and buying a car there. In order to buy a car, we need an Visitor Record form (IMM1442) as a primary form of ID.
As we are from Belgium and do not require a visa (we are planning to be in Canada only 3-4 weeks), we do not get any documentation when landing in Canada. We only get a stamp in our passport.
How do I obtain this form IMM1442. Is this issued at the border control upon request or do we need to apply beforehand?
Thanks for your guidance.
