dear seniors and all, my mom has been in canada for almost 6 months as visitor. She wants to stay a bit longer (2 months more). Can I do a flagpole and apply for a visitor record on POE? I do realize that I can submit an extension online. But if it is possible to do it in POE, I will drive her to do it. Many thanks.

You can certainly try and flagpole, but there is absolutely no guarantee that CBSA would let her back into the country. There have been comments that CBSA frowns on this action by visitors, as it looks like they have less than honest intentions to leave as required. If you apply for the extension of her current visa on paper the current processing time is 115 days. If she is only staying 2 months as you said, she will have left before they even process the extension and she will be on implied status up to that date.
