Just 5 days ago, I scheduled an appointment to talk with a consultant. After calculating my point based on language experience, educational background, age etc... I ended up with 510. She said I was qualified to be a permanent resident and suggested that I start applying. I told her that I was trying to immigrate to Canada without a job offer; instead, because I have always wanted to live there. I am a professional basketball player, fluent in french and English, got a Masters degree and 1 year experience working as a customer support rep and inventory manager at a university.
My question is.... Can go to Canada on a visitor visa and apply for PR once I am there? Also, I might end up signing with a team as well. In this is case, can I apply for PR while I am on a temporary visa (6months)?
