Visitor Multiple Entry

So I had come to Canada as a WX-1 Worker in 2011. And then later extended the visa for another 6 months, but as a visitor. So when that expired I sent it in for another extension and got one for another 6 months. And after that have got one for 1 year now. My visitor visa is about to expire in October. I have applied for another extension. But want it to become a multiple visa. My family is calling me back home but I want to come back to Canada. What procedure should I take. Please help me on this. I am currently in Canada.
PS. I have also got a 10 years multiple visa for the U.S.A

it's best that you apply for a fresh TRV, specifically for multiple entry. the length depends on the validity of your passport (for most cases).

You have to apply for a new TRV. You can't turn a single entry TRV into a multiple entry TRV.
