Visitor Insurance for Parents

Hi,
I have searched the forum and dint find much information hence posting this here hoping someone can advise.

I am planning to get my parents to Toronto for a short visit(2-3 months). Can someone please advise which insurance companies are good to go with.

My father had a heart surgery 2 years back and is stable now and his doctor said he is good to travel. But I am not sure considering his recent surgery, will any insurance company offer him insurance.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it not usual for travellers/ visitors to get travel insurance in home country, usually much easier to obtain plus usually includes the all important repatriation to home country cover which seems particularly relevant in your fathers case should worst case need a medical evacuation something a policy bought in Canada probably would not cover.

As you say might be a challenge getting any policy to cover any heart issues though but in some countries there are often specialist companies that provide cover for exiting conditions.
