Visitor extension from within Canada

hi guys... I visited Canada this August 2018. And i Had a multiple entry visitor visa and it expired at the end of Septemper 2018. So I applied for a visitor extension while i was in Canada. Now i retuned to my home countery, and i still don’t know why I haven’t got any reply from cic.
Is normal to take this long???

I still see this message on my application “ we are still processing......”

I assume that you applied for visitor visa extension. As you already returned to your home country, that extension is no good for you. You may be able to withdraw your application and get refund of your fees. Cic is currently taking 3-4 months to response.

You applied to extend your visitor status in Canada, not for a TRV. You need to submit a TRV app.

Yes.

A visitor extension is only applicable when you remain in Canada. You left, so the app is no good.

If you applied visitor extension IN Canada using the form "Extend My Stay as a visitor" and already left Canada then that extension is no good anymore. You need to apply for new TRV from your home country
