I assume that you mean your mother is currently in Canada as a visitor and you want to ask for an extension so she doesnt have to leave at the date her visitor status expires.

In that case, yes, the day she arrived in Canada for her current stay is the answer to that question, including at what airport she landed, when she artived for her visit.
