hi

I have a question if parents are on visitor visa and have extension till september 2017.
we are planning to go to US for shopping and sight seeing.

what happens to the parents extension that we already have?
on returning back to canada will it again be fresh 6 months?

anyone with similar experience please share your story.

thanks

They may or may not be allowed back in. It all depends on the officer at the border.

One instance, we had no issues coming back.

Another instance, we were sent and questioned.

Both times we were allowed back in... but we definitely got the run around one visit.

Both instances we did not have the extension extended more then the original 6 months.

From past experiences, my mom didn't have any problem coming back to Canada from the US. She travelled to the US like 4-5 times during her 5 months stay in Canada. The visit visa wasn't extended though.

thanks for reply. But as you said when your parents returned from US the visa was not extended. did the officer put the date on passport on their return to Canada?

thanks

I don't think they did.
