Visiting the US while on an Eta in Canada

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible for me to visit the US (a week of holidays) while on an Eta in Canada?
Will I have to go through immigration once more to get a new Eta or will my Eta allow me to reenter Canada?
My Eta will still be valid when I will reenter Canada.
