Visiting Spouse during application

Hi there,

I became a Canadian Citizen last week but I applied the sponsorship application for my spouse before becoming a citizen. I was a Permanent Resident at the time of submitting the application. Can I visit my spouse in Pakistan for few months?

Of course you can.

But now that you are a Canadian citizen, you MUST travel back to Canada on a Canadian passport.
