Visiting India without PR card

Hi

I landed in Toronto on Jan 25, 2018 and the Immigration Officer informed that I would receive my PR card within 2 months.

I need to travel to India for a couple of weeks. I have my copy of COPR and my SIN Number. Can I travel now?

I do not have the physical PR card yet. I am also planning to renew my Passport while I am in India. Can I do so?

Kindly confirm urgently so I can make plans accordingly.

You will not be able to board a flight back to Canada without PR card.

Another option is to apply for PRTD once you are back in India. It might take a few weeks to get PRTD approved, so plan your trip accordingly.

Or of course come back via the US land border if have a US visa of course, no need for a PRTD taking that option.

Your PR card will arrive in 50-60 days
You can not board a flight to Canada without PR card or PRTD.
You can renew your passport in Toronto, you don't need to go home

You can enter to Canada by land via USA with your passport and valid CoPR, private vehicle (not bus, not ferry, not train)
