Visiting Family

Hi... I am visiting Canada for 2 weeks and I am staying with family.

I have read many different articles and I think I have confused my self. If I am only here on holiday, do I need to prove my funds? If so what evidence would be satisfactory.

Also, as I am staying with family, do I need a letter for border control when I enter the country or is there something I need to do before I travel?

Any help would be much appreciated.
