Visiting canada but receiving donations for work done outside canada?

So I have a visitors status in canada(Will be applying for a sponsorship with my girlfriend soon), I have done some work outside of canada and I receive a % of all donations received by people who use my scripts, It's a pretty decent amount. I'm just wondering, Are there any policies against this? Is this acceptable?

Now say I want to apply for an extension a month or so before my visa expires, Would they accept my bank statement as proof of support? Because I am indeed able to support myself alone with the donations(Although I'm staying with my girlfriend).
