Hi Friends,

Can you please advise if this is a wise idea. I have 9 years of IT experience with German ERP Datawarehouse and resigned a month back due to job pressure. Not interested to find another job in india and can take a break for betterment. Per my exploration Canada seems to be appropriate considering the job opportunity. I have below queries and need your help .

I can visit Canada with visitor visa and can stay for 4 months. But is it possible to get an employer to apply work permit with in 4 months. Currently I am preparing for EE as well but will complete only by June.

And as Im job less, will this be a hick up while applying a visitor visa

Experienced friends please help me here and also advise other options

Thanks,

You won't be able to apply for a study visa from within Canada. If you wish to apply for a study visa, the application will have to be submitted to the visa office responsible for your home country.

It's unlikely you will have a work permit within four months. It tends to be quite difficult to find an employer in Canada who is willing to go through the process of sponsoring a foreign worker since they have to advertise the job to prove no Canadian could be found for the role, pay a $1,000 processing fee and then wait a number of months for the LMIA application to be processed. (You can only apply for a work permit once you have a full time job offer from an employer AND that employer has obtained an approved LMIA). Having said that, you are certainly welcome to try and some people are successful in finding employment.

Yes - the fact you are currently unemployed may make it more difficult to be approved for a visitor visa since you must prove you have ties to your home country and employment is considered to be strong proof.
