visit visa to work permit - help

hi there..

i would like to know what is the procedure if i come to canada on tourist visa and is there any chance that i can extend the stay and change to work permit from border.
this is my situation. i have already employer there to hire me as a caregiver since the procedure is taking so much time employer told me that he will send invitation and i can come there on visit visa. is there any chance that i have after i enter right away he will apply for LMIA and then from the border can i change to work permit if i get positive LMIA?. i am from India.

please need your expert advise on this

As far as I know, only those people from visa-exempted countries can apply for work permit at the border.

For live-in caregivers, no one can obtain a work permit at the border (not even those who are visa exempt).
