Basically, you intend to be untruthful in your TRV application. Obviously, it also implies you have other reasons to visit Canada which may/may not be that of a genuine visitor.

1. Is your friend in Alberta aware that you intend to misuse his invitation/documents to visit for some other reason?

2. If you have a genuine reason to visit as a short-stay visitor + a good TRV application then you can apply as a tourist (hotel bookings, detailed expenses down to the last cent, etc to visit Toronto)

Explaining to CBSA that your host lives 3,500 km from your onward flight/landing destination might be tricky. They can and will ask for your friends contact information at the POE and call them. If it looks suspicious, they’ll just send you home on the next flight.

Simple:
Your wife must include you in her PR application as an accompanying family member

If she hasn’t included you in the application now or before she lands, she will never be able to sponsor you as a family member.

If she included him as an accompanying dependent. If she included him as a non-accompanying dependent, she will have to sponsor him separately.
I'm aware of this.

OP says she has included him, but sponsoring will take a long time. He is referring to the PR processing time as an accompanying family member.... but probably wants to visit as a visitor in the interim

Correct she has applied single as non accompanying..so once she goes there then she has to sponsor me. Do u know how long will take sponsoring spouse? Is there any way I can go along with her to canada as a visitor? Later on I can apply for work permit? Is it legal to apply work permit wen my spouse already in the country with pr? Can somebody explain wat is open work permit? ND it is for whom?

If she has specified you as non-accompanying, I would encourage you not to travel with her on the same flight, otherwise you run the danger of the CBSA officer saying that you *did* accompany her. You can certainly apply for a visitor visa, but you will need to demonstrate your own independent capacity to enter Canada and support yourself.

If IRCC figures out that you both chose to represent you as "non-accompanying" while intending all along for you to accompany her to Canada, there may be issues.

If you can get into Canada, she can sponsor you as an inland sponsorship, and you can then apply for a work permit. The OWP in this case will take about 4 months to get provided you are otherwise applying for spousal sponsorship. Spousal sponsorship takes about 12 months.

It may be easier, though, for you to do an out-of-Canada spousal application and wait the 12 months before coming to Canada.

You really should have applied as an accompanying spouse if your intention was to accompany her. Otherwise you're dangerously close to misrepresentation.

In that case, my previous post is not relevant.

Just to clarify:
She has declared her marital status as *married* + you as non-accompanying family member, right? Your post says *she has applied as single*
